Friday was a big day at the Belle Momenti studio, with our last newly-married couple of 2012 paying us a visit to view their wedding photographs. This is a very special time, when our brides and grooms can finally see what was happening as each one was getting ready for their special day as well as, of course, reliving all of the key moments of their Wedding…
Its a lovely feeling to know that we’ve delivered all of the images we’ve taken at Weddings last year so our couples can select the photos they want to include in their album. However, before we start thinking about Weddings for 2013 (and the new season begins), we wanted to share some of the wonderful venues (and Weddings) we’ve had the great pleasure of photographing in 2012…
This year, we photographed more weddings in our favourite locations (where we are honoured to say we are preferred suppliers for Wedding Photography)
Luton Hoo Hotel, Golf & Spa, Bedfordshire
Arfan & Sana’s beautiful wedding celebrations were held at Luton Hoo – this image shows the house and formal gardens.
Offley Place Country House Hotel, Hitchin, Hertfordshire
Brahman & Nilan’s wedding celebrations were held on possibly one of the hottest days in 2012! Taken in the Rose Garden.
Brocket Hall, Welwyn, Hertfordshire
Caroline & Ed’s beautiful wedding was held at Brocket Hall – you wouldn’t even know it was raining on them in this photo!
There are also some other UK locations that we always enjoy photographing
St. Mary’s Church, Hitchin, Hertfordshire
Ellen & Ian practising their ‘showstopping’ first dance in front of St. Mary’s, where they were married earlier that day.
Priory Barn, Little Wymondley, Hitchin
Beth & Matt walking towards the magnificent Priory Barn just after a stunning rainbow display, which made for some very special photographs.
In addition to the UK, we were delighted to photograph more destination weddings in places we know and love…
Villa Cipressi, on the edge of Lake Como in Varenna, Italy
Rachel & Gareth exchanged their vows in glorious afternoon sunshine overlooking Lake Como at majestic Villa Cipressi.
Ca’ Sagredo Hotel, overlooking the Grande Canal in Venice, Italy
Jacqui & Lino’s fabulous wedding celebrations were held at the stunningly beautiful Ca’ Sagredo (a former Palazzo) located on the Grand Canal in Venice – this shows the interior of the Music Room where faint echoes of opera can still be heard.
In 2012, we added some fabulous new UK venues to our list…
Knebworth Barns, Knebworth, Hertfordshire
Ruwan & Allison in front of the beautiful Knebworth House – steeped in history with magnificent sweeping grounds, it was a delight to photograph!
Notley Abbey, Thame, Oxfordshire
Anne & Carl exchanged their vows at the very romantic Notley Abbey – former home of Lawrence Olivier and Vivian Leigh.
The Auction House, Luton, Bedfordshire
Nilan & Brahman held their Hindu Wedding Ceremony at the Auction House – a venue that can cater for huge numbers with some great photo opportunities!
The Mansion House, Old Walden Park, Bedfordshire
Johanna and Steve held their beautiful and fun-filled wedding reception at the Mansion House (formally known as ‘Shuttleworth’) in wonderful surroundings.
Three Rivers Golf & Country Club, Purleigh, Essex
Lindsay & Brett smiling in the afternoon sunshine outside the Three Rivers Golf & Country Club – a spacious, well-equipped venue that was decorated to perfection set in beautiful grounds.
Woburn Sculpture Gallery, Woburn Park, Bedfordshire
Chris & Sharon’s wedding celebrations were held at the quintessentially English and effortlessly elegant Woburn Sculpture Gallery, in the grounds of Woburn Abbey – a beautiful venue with incredible surrounding for wedding photographs.
Wootton Park, Wootton Wawen, Henley-in-Arden, Warwickshire
Hayley & Simon’s celebrations were held at Wootten Park near Stratford-upon-Avon – this was taken at the man-made lake which, together with the rest of the surroundings (barn, farmhouse, and ‘eco pods’), makes a wonderful setting for photos.
…as well as exciting new locations and venues in Italy and France
La Salle (situated at the base of Mont Blanc in the French/Italian alps), Italy
Sally & Mike were married in the rather aptly named town of ‘La Salle’, which is located at the base of Mont Blanc, on the Italian side of the Alps – an incredibly peaceful and beautiful location with exquisite scenery around every corner.
Atrani, Amalfi Coast, Italy
Janice & Davin were married in Atrani’s exquisite ceramic-tiled church which glistened in the sunshine, before being photographed in front of romantic, white-washed houses and winding cobbled streets leading down to the sea.
Positano, Amalfi Coast, Italy
Kiran & Jez’s very elegant, military wedding was held in the romantic town of Positano – they exchanged vows in the afternoon sunshine before strolling through the maze of winding streets down to the sea for their wedding photographs…
Pontassieve (just outside Florence), Italy
Lauren & Joe’s fabulous and incredibly relaxed wedding celebrations were held in a private villa near Florence. After getting ready in the villa, it was a mere couple of steps outside to where they were married on the beautiful sun-filled terrace.
Afterwards, guests were treated to live jazz music and an aperitvo whilst we photographed everyone enjoying the sunshine…
Château des Buis, Bourg-en-Bresse (just outside Lyon), France
The incredibly beautiful, 800 year old family-owned Château des Buis will open its doors for the very first time in April 2013 to couples wishing to get married there. The family look forward to sharing the incredible grounds and surroundings, which has been their home for the last 350 years…
We look forward to sharing more highlights of 2012, including fabulous personal touches, unique details and fantastic modes of transport for the Wedding Day (amongst other things) very soon!
